TrendoPlay — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

TrendoPlay ("the Service") is a Discord Activity that lets users listen to music together in voice channels. We respect your privacy and collect minimal data.

2. Information We Collect

• Discord User ID & Username — Retrieved via Discord OAuth2 to identify who added songs or is the DJ. Used only during your active session.
• Channel ID — Used to keep each voice channel's queue and playback state separate. Not linked to any personal identity.

3. How We Use Information

• User ID and username are used solely for queue management and DJ permissions.
• Channel ID is used to isolate state between different voice channels.
• We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

4. Data Storage & Retention

All session data (queue, DJ status, playback state) is stored in-memory on our server and is automatically cleared when the voice channel empties or the server restarts. No data is persisted to a database.

5. Third-Party Services

• YouTube — Music is streamed directly from YouTube via yt-dlp. YouTube may collect usage data per their own Privacy Policy.
• Discord — Authentication is handled by Discord. Refer to Discord's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for all connections. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page.
